Join Sydney’s favourite outdoor Latin dance event, bringing together the city’s best Latin dance schools, top DJs, live music, and an incredible community!

Latin Nights by the Bay returns to Darling Harbour every Friday from 2 October to 4 December, bringing free salsa and bachata lessons, live Latin music, DJs and social dancing to the waterfront.
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have never tried salsa before, everyone’s invited. Start with a free beginner-friendly dance lesson, watch some of Sydney’s best Latin dancers take the floor, then dance into the night to live bands and DJs.

No bookings. No dance partner. No experience needed. Just turn up and join the party.

What to expect:

6pm — Dance lesson
Kick off your Friday with a free beginner-friendly lesson led by one of Sydney's top Latin dance schools. No experience or partner needed.

7pm — Performances & DJs
See some of Sydney's best Latin dancers take the floor before DJs turn up the tempo with salsa, bachata and more.

7:45pm onwards — Live music & social dancing
The dance floor opens up as live Latin bands and DJs bring the party to the waterfront.

Christmas Fiesta, Friday 4 December

Wrap up the season with a Latin Christmas fiesta by the bay. Think sizzling salsa, live music, festive beats and a little friendly competition under the stars.

Kick things off with a complimentary beginner-friendly salsa lesson from Go Dance Sydney, before DJ Rafael Rojas and Gonzalo Porta’s Full Band take over from 7pm, bringing the Latin rhythms and keeping the dance floor moving all night.

There’ll also be a Christmas Salsa-Off and Salsa-ing Santa mini competition for those ready to show off their moves — festive spirit encouraged.

Come dressed in your favourite Christmas colours, grab your dancing shoes and round out the season with music, movement and plenty of Latin energy by the harbour. ¡Feliz Navidad!

Latin Fridays takes place every Friday from 2 October to 4 December 2026, from 6pm–10pm.

Not at all! Everyone is welcome, from experienced dancers to complete beginners. Each Friday starts with a complimentary Latin dance lesson led by a Sydney dance school.
No equipment is needed. Just bring your best energy, and consider carrying water to stay hydrated during the night.
No. You can come along on your own, with a partner or with a group of friends. The dance lessons are designed to be social and welcoming.
Wear comfortable clothing you can move and dance in easily. Light, breathable fabrics are recommended, and flat shoes or dance‑friendly footwear will help you stay comfortable on the dance floor.
Latin Nights by the Bay welcomes all ages, however the event is best suited to adults due to the evening setting and dance-floor atmosphere.
As this is an outdoor event, sessions may be affected by weather conditions. It’s recommended to check Darling Harbour’s website or social media pages for updates if the weather looks uncertain.
