For just $10, you could be eating scrambled eggs on sourdough with hashy b’s and sausages, while enjoying stunning views over Darling Harbour. Spend a little more ($13) and you’ll get a lovely smashed avo on sourdough with poached eggs.

Harry’s Cafe De Wheels
Harry’s Cafe De Wheels started over 75 years ago when the enterprising Harry Edwards started slinging mince pies out of his caravan in Woolloomooloo. There’s almost a dozen locations now but they still serve delicious cheap food without the fuss. Bring a $10 note and you’ll get change back for a bacon and egg roll and a coffee.

Blackbird Cafe probably has the best views of Darling Harbour from its first floor location on Cockle Bay Wharf. It also has a very delicious, very affordable breakfast menu including banana toast, fresh ricotta and jam for just $11. If you’re more of a savoury breakfast person, the classic eggs on sourdough for $12 is a good option.
