Total Garden Experience Tour

Join a private tour to discover design principals, landscape and cultural heritage plus many treasures that lie within.

The Chinese Garden of Friendship is a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city. Designed by the Guangzhou Landscape Bureau, the Garden was laid out according to the ancient Chinese philosophy of Taoism and its principle of Yin and Yang and imitates the setup of traditional Chinese landscape paintings of miniature mountains and water.

The Total Garden Experience Tour focuses on the four important elements of the Garden: buildings, plants, rocks and water. Your guide will take you along the winding paths through to the waterfalls and pavilions and provide in depth explanations on the design elements, history, and legacy of this Sydney landmark. Then explore the changes of the seasons as you look at how and why particular seasonal plants and trees have been planted to create this spectacular garden. Finally discover the Chinese symbols, stories and legends of the Garden's rocks with a surprising Australian connection.

This unique experience will provide exclusive access to explore the Garden before it opens to public at 10am.

Cost: $35 per person for non-members ($5 to reserve your spot today plus $30 on arrival).
