Moro Moro MUSICAL THEATRE

As a signature highlight of the 80th Filipino–Australian Friendship Celebration this year, Moro Moro Musical invites both Filipino and non‑Filipino audiences into a breathtaking English‑language reimagining of a beloved cultural tradition.

Set in a fictional archipelago inspired by the Philippines, the musical follows three proud kingdoms—Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—united by shared heritage yet divided by long‑standing rivalries. Amid vibrant festivals and ancient customs, tensions simmer beneath the surface, threatening the fragile peace between realms.

Through acts of courage, compassion, and sacrifice, the characters confront the legacies that have kept their kingdoms apart. What unfolds is a powerful story about pride, forgiveness, and the possibility of unity even in the face of deep cultural and political fractures.
