$1 Strawberry Sandos for 1 hour only

Sydney foodies, this is not a drill.

Harajuku Gyoza Darling Harbour is giving away 300 of its viral Japanese Strawberry Sandos for just $1 each on June 20 from 10:30am to 11:30am — and it’s strictly first in, best dressed.

One per person. One hour only. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

Queues are expected as fans chase the cult-favourite sweet treat, inspired by Japan’s konbini (convenience store) culture.

The Strawberry Sando features fluffy Japanese shokupan bread, lightly fried until golden, filled with Harajuku’s signature air cheesecake and topped with fresh strawberries.

The giveaway runs for one hour only at Harajuku Gyoza Darling Harbour, with regular dining from 11:30am.

The Strawberry Sando is just one part of Harajuku Gyoza’s sando drop that’s been pulling crowds, with a lineup of loaded katsu sandos including crispy chicken, prawn, beef and eggplant — all stacked in soft milk bread with crunchy fillings and rich, umami-packed sauces.
