Summer School Holidays 2022
FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
There are countless fun things to do in Darling Harbour to put smiles on everyone's faces these school holidays, from a Junior Garden Master Challenge at the Chinese Garden of Friendship, to Pixar Putt mini golf and pedal boat rides and lots more! Your trip to Darling Harbour can be just as much fun for the big kids (adults) as it is for the little ones.
Pixar Putt Mini Golf
Get ready to kick some serious putt!
Australia’s much loved open-air mini golf sensation, Pixar Putt is made up of fun interactive putt-putt holes inspired by the stories, characters, and icons from some of Pixar’s most beloved films including Toy Story, Onward, Luca, The Incredibles, Coco, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Up, Ratatouille, A Bug’s Life, Wall-E, Inside Out, Soul and many more!
Pedal Boats
Are you up for a Christmas-themed adventure on the high seas of Darling Harbour? Hire a pedal boat for up to two adults and two small children and see the Darling Harbour all decked out with festive lights and decorations from the water as you pedal between gigantic floating Christmas baubles.
FUN AND FREE THINGS TO DO
When you’re looking for free things to do in Sydney with the kids these school holidays, there’s only one place you need to go - Darling Harbour. Sydney’s favourite harbourside precinct has a school holiday schedule packed with interactive installations, water playgrounds, fireworks, plus lots more!
And the best part? These activities are completely free and won't cost you a cent.
Cupid's Koi Garden
If you're looking for things to do in Sydney this summer, a magical marine world awaits in Cupid’s Koi Garden, a six-metre-tall immersive water-play installation splashing summer fun on all within reach.
Within the world’s first inflatable fountain, the kids will be serenaded by submerged sounds and spritzed by the cheeky cherub Cupid and his ten friendly koi fish squirting choreographed water jets.
After splashing around in the fountains of Cupid's Koi Garden, the kids can get even more wet without having to fight for a patch of sand at the beach at the Darling Harbour Water Play area right next to Tumbalong Park. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and a change of clothes!
Catch spectacular fireworks displays light up the sky at 9pm every Saturday night.
After making it through another year of school, the kids (and parents!) deserve something special. Why not treat the fam with some ice cream, pancakes, doughnuts or a delicious meal from these family friendly Darling Harbour venues...
