Doodee King brings the authentic, punchy flavours of Thai street noodles to Sydney with authentic charm.

Darling Quarter is hiding one of Sydney’s best restaurants, a charming, colourful little hole in the wall famous for its short but authentic menu of real Thai cuisine.

Before Doodee chef, Jiraporn Anukoonpajit was cooking in Sydney she made a name for herself in Chachoengsao, just out of Bangkok. It was here that she created the delicious, spicy noodle recipe that she now proudly serves at Doodee.

Introducing Doodee King

Doodee King has a loyal customer base who know it as one of Sydney’s best Thai restaurants. Visit and you’ll find its vibrant orange and red interior packed with regulars, slurping noodles and enjoying Thai desserts.

The restaurant’s popularity is easy to explain - they serve real Thai food, prepared with high-quality ingredients by a chef who knows their craft. Their menu isn’t just noodles either - visit and you’ll choose from authentic curries, stirfries, soups, meat dishes, rice dishes, light bites and salads.

Doodee King Menu highlights

Doodee’s menu is stacked with delicious must-try dishes. But if we had to choose we’d single out the Doodee Island, noodles in a spicy broth topped with pork crackling, prawns and light, tasty crab meat. Or for something a little lighter go for the Tom Kha, a spicy, sour coconut soup with chicken that is perfect for lunch.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth don’t miss Doodee’s deserts, including mango and durian sticky rice and fried bread with yummy pandan custard.

Doodee King is easy to find, right in the heart of bustling Haymarket - minutes from the harbour and CBD and near both public transport hubs and parking. If you’re looking for a quick bite to take home or down to the waterfront, they do takeaway as well!
