Experience Vivid Sydney's dazzling light displays, free live music under the stars, and buzzing DJ sets at Tumbalong Park

Tumbalong Park, the beating heart of Vivid Sydney’s Light Walk, invites you to experience 23 nights of free music—where dreams turn into beats as our winter nights come alive with rhythm, energy and connection.

Explore a line-up of global icons, local legends and emerging talent that’ll spark your imagination and get you moving—from the best new Aussie pop to boundary-pushing indie, powerful First Nations storytelling and a diverse array of languages and cultures.

DJs keep the party going from Sunday to Wednesday, while live music starts at 7:30pm every Thursday to Saturday (and on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 June for the long weekend), with kids’ shows from 5pm–6pm on Saturdays.

Please note, there will be live music from 7.30pm every night of the long weekend from Thursday 5 – Monday 9 June.

Mallrat + Lyric
The opening night features an impressive lineup of women at the forefront of Australian pop. Brisbane singer-songwriter Mallrat returns to the Tumbalong Nights line up following her second album release last
year.Gold Coast pop act Lyric brings her unique style of queer-forward pop-rock for an evening of energy.

Coterie + Velvet Bloom
Family blues-reggae band Coterie consists of the four Fisher brothers, born in New Zealand and raised in Perth, while Sydney's Velvet Bloom bring a dance-forward mix of folk and soul to the stage.
THU 28 MAY
Mulga Bore Hard Rock + Gut Health
Mulga Bore Hard Rock are a six-piece hard rock band from Akaye (Mulga Bore), north of Alice Springs who perform in both English and Anmatyerre. Ranging between 15 and 20 years old, this emerging rock band has already captured global attention having already supported KISS on their recent stadium tour.

Billionhappy + Sebii + KimJ + CLAIR
Three rising artists showcase the best in Asia’s rising underground scene. Billionhappy and Sebii bring the fun with their 2000s era Mandarin/English pop rap; Korean producer KimJ has established a cult following globally, while Melbourne act CLAIR adds a local flavour.

Seun Kuti & Egypt 80
Hailing from one of Nigeria’s greatest dynasties, Seun Kuti brings a vibrant show of Afrobeats to Vivid. Grammy-nominee and one of Time’s most influential people, Seun will see a packed house of loyal and new fans.

The Congos + Keanu Nelson | Tumbalong Nights
One of Jamaica's most legendary roots reggae acts performs a special free concert, plus alluring Casio-gospel from Luritja Land.

Free Hugen + Niko Niko Tan Tan
Japanese electronica two ways: refined dance music imbued with traditional folk elements, and a genre-defying groove complete with an audio-visual spectacle. Incorporating wind instruments, bells and saxophone, HUGEN's electronic folk is immensely relaxing yet danceable, with smooth beats guiding tracks underneath.

Skeleten + Ashkan Shafiei

Sydney's innovative underground takes Tumbalong Nights, with Skeleten's cerebral dance music and Ashkan Shafiei's jazz and funk-fused take on Persian folk. Skeleten is the critically adored solo project of Russell Fitzgibbon - a major force in Sydney's electronic and dance scene for more than a decade as a producer and DJ.

Matt Corby

Two-time ARIA Award-winner and multi-platinum national treasure Matt Corby will take to the Tumbalong Nights stage to send off Vivid Sydney with a special free concert. Corby’s 2023 album Everything’s Fine scored 3 x ARIA nominations, including Album Of The Year, plus a nom for triple j’s Australian Album of the Year.
