The Astrosite™
Discover Astrosite™ — the world’s first mobile neuromorphic telescope, designed to track satellites, monitor space debris, and deliver next-gen space safety with unmatched speed and efficiency.
The Astrosite™ is a world first neuromorphic-inspired mobile telescope observatory engineered by The International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS) for space situational awareness. It employs event based vision sensors, which operate much like the human eye - where each pixel independently reacts to changes in light with microsecond precision.
This innovative design enables dramatic advances in efficiency - Astrosite captures only meaningful changes (like a satellite passing through the field of view), drastically reducing data volume (by factors of 10 to 1000×), consuming much less power and operating effectively both day and night under challenging lighting conditions.
These features make Astrosite especially adept at tracking high-speed objects such as satellites, monitoring space debris, providing early collision warnings and even functioning from mobile platforms rather than fixed observatories—all of which represent a game-changing capability for space monitoring and defence applications.
