Catching a show at this state-of-the-art 9,000 seat theatre is one of the best things to do in Sydney.

What do Kylie Minogue, Stevie Nicks, Elton John and Jerry Seinfeld all have in common? They’ve all sold out hundreds of shows world-wide, including epic performances at the ICC Sydney Theatre.

This ultra-modern theatre is one of the Southern Hemisphere’s leading venues with considered architecture and advanced audio-visual technology. So the next time you’re wondering what’s on in Sydney - make sure you check the ICC Sydney Theatre event calendar!

ICC Sydney Theatre is in the heart of Darling Harbour harbourside precinct and seamlessly connects to International Convention Centre Sydney’s convention and exhibition building as well as Tumbalong Park and Cockle Bay.

Welcome to Sydney’s best theatre

The ICC Sydney Theatre is NSW’s home of live entertainment for good reason - a show at this epic venue is one of the best things to see in Sydney. It's become the chosen venue for countless huge international acts and homegrown heroes with a line up always stacked with talent.

Visit and you’ll enter underneath a gigantic 180sqm digital screen that sets the tone for a night to remember. Continue on and enjoy city views from the foyer and perhaps a drop of something refreshing from one of the theatre's excellent bars.

The theatre has room for 9,000 guests, with a flexible set-up that can be configured for more intimate shows of just 3,000. Contemporary architecture enriches the guest experience, with a fan shaped design that allows all seats a close-up view of the stage. Cutting-edge audio-visual technology amplifies the star power, with epic light shows, ultra-clear acoustics and several HD screens available.

The theatre’s event calendar is diverse and includes several shows for little ones, making it one of the best kids activities in Sydney.

Dining and drinking at Aware Super Theatre

If you fancy grabbing a bite to eat or a quick tipple before the show you’re spoiled for choice at the ICC Sydney Theatre. During shows you’ll find several bars on levels two, four and six of the venue, serving everything from ice-cold beers, kombuchas and cocktails to freshly grilled burgers and healthy salads made with fresh, local ingredients.

If wine’s more your thing, you’re in luck - ICC Sydney Theatre’s bars have an impressive wine list selected by their head sommelier, with a heavy emphasis on serving local drops. In fact, 90% of their menu’s wines are produced in NSW.

The Theatre Bar

If you’re attending an event at ICC Sydney Theatre, then you’re invited to come and enjoy the hospitality in the venue’s Theatre Bar, located on the mezzanine level. The Theatre Bar is a welcoming space where you can relax and enjoy high quality, affordable refreshments – all sourced locally from NSW.
