The Lunar Block Party is back to bless the streets of Sydney this Lunar New Year with the movement of some of Australia’s best dancers and b-boys. The Pier Street Underpass will be transformed into an exciting dance floor celebrating both the Lunar New Year and the Hip hop and Street Dance Culture in a family friendly event. STREET DANCE BATTLE
Check out the very best Street Dancers that Sydney has to offer. Competing in various categories and styles, these dancers will freestyle to music randomly selected by the DJ and will have to wow both the audience and judges to make their way to the top and with the trophy.

PERFORMER BIOS
Tommy-K began his freestyle journey in 2014, and has been on an upward trajectory ever since. In his first competition in 2016, he placed 4th in Australia and his skills only continued to grow from there. He placed 2nd in Oceania the same year and was named Australian Champion in 2018, reaching Top 24 at the World Championship in Poland later that year. Tom, based in Sydney, is creative and passionate about the sport and the community and loves helping young freestylers achieve their goals through private coaching, community meet-ups and freestyle football events.
Mistery has been one of the main people involved in the development of the Australian HipHop scene since its formative years in the early 1980s. Initially introduced to HipHop culture as a Bboy Mistery then began writing rap lyrics and also expressing himself visually as a graffiti writer. Mistery still maintains his Bboy roots and although he no longer competes in any of the high level competitions he still maintains his connection to the scene as a host, judge and coordinator of many of the major events, such as; R16, Battle of the Year, Freestyle Sessions and Uprock.
Iron Icey has been deep in the Hip Hop culture since 2000 primarily as a B-Boy. From the beginning his passion has been digging hidden gems in most funky music genres. Being a part of the dance scene and traveling to the biggest international dance events for the past 20 years inspired him to spin the decks in order to share the grooves that make you move. He is known and appreciated in the scene for DJing at mainly urban dance gatherings and competitions. DJ Iron Icey will bring the heat with awesome tunes and remixes you might have never heard before!
Dancekool is the first and finest street dance studio in Sydney. Founded in 2002 as the only studio focused around Hip Hop. Their experienced international family of instructors have learned from the best and have taught and performed all over the world. All have extensive expertise in Hip Hop, Popping, Locking, Breaking, House and Street Jazz and are ready to teach you how to be a great dancer!
