Activation Case Study: TTNQ Snorkel Man

Client Objective: Execute a mass reaching, unexpected disruptive ‘shareable’ activation, to grab
consumer attention in the lead up to summer and drive visitation to North Queensland.
Rationale for location: High Profile, Footfall, Iconic, Central
Overview: Due to Covid-19, tourism operators in North Queensland have been severely impacted by state border closures and international travel restrictions. This campaigns objective was to drive Sydney residents to visit Tropical North Queensland.
Black Raven Media conceptualised and installed an 8m giant inflatable snorkeller anchored in Cockle Bay over 3 days. In conjunction with this, an activation was created by transforming the space into a tropical destination with a live cross from the Today Show. Sydney residents could relax in a tropical space under an umbrella with deck chairs and enjoy their free mango sorbet and fresh mangoes!
Outcomes: The campaign received national news coverage across Television, Print and Digital.
