Feed the magnificent koi as they rush through the waters of the Chinese Garden of Friendship to get their lunch.

Join the Chinese Garden of Friendship's Interpretation Officers at 11.30am every day by the Lenient Jade Pavilion to feed the magnificent koi. Help the team attract the fish by clapping loudly, then feed these colourful ‘living jewels’.

The koi in the garden are descended from a type of black carp called ‘magoi’ and are fed once a day with floating fish pellets (similar to tropical fish food). They also eat the algae growing on the rocks and buildings. Thanks to the special attention and care they receive, the garden’s koi can live for up to 35 years.

Cost
Included with Garden entry, no bookings required.
