Ritmo Brazilian Festival 2017
Music. Food. Culture. Ritmo Brazilian Day is Australia’s biggest Brazilian Festival, and it's here in Darling Harbour!
17 September, 11am - 7pm
In 2000, the Brazilian Community Council of Australia (BRACCA) organised the first Ritmo Brazilian Day to celebrate 500 years since Brazil’s discovery.
It proved so popular with both Australian and Brazilian communities that it became an annual tradition each September. The festival celebrates Brazilian culture while encouraging cultural interchange between both countries.
Enjoy live music, dance and performances while browsing stalls from Brazilian businesses featuring arts, crafts and souvenirs.
Plenty of food stalls will be offering the famous Brazilian barbecue and feijoada stew, as well as delicious savoury pastries, sweets and cakes. Gather your friends at the bar to enjoy Brazilian beer, guarana soft drinks and caipirinhas, Brazil’s zingy national cocktail.
The festival kicks off at 11am with family-friendly attractions and there’s plenty to suit all ages and everyone with an interest in Brazilian culture and lifestyle.
