Ocean Extreme is a 7.3m Rigid inflatable boat designed in South Africa by Gemini Inflatables and built by Britlon Marine. It is currently the flagship of their RIBS normally only purchased by the special forces of the world and other police agencies, it is a formidable sight on Sydney Harbour.
There are only 3 of these vessels in Australia, the other two presently in service with the Sydney Water Police. Ocean Extreme is powered by 2 x 200 HP mercury EFI V6 engines, which have the ability to propel this vessel at speeds in excess of 50 knots (100km/h). Ocean Extreme has a seating for 8 passengers and 2 crew.
