Celebrate the legends of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival

Legend says that Chang'e flew to the moon, where she has lived ever since. You might even see her dancing on the moon with the Jade Rabbit during the Mid-Autumn Festival...

The beautiful Chinese Mid-Autumn, or Moon, Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. With the full moon is at its brightest, this important traditional event is a time for family reunions and the telling of legendary stories.

Discover the myths and legends of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival in the Chinese Garden of Friendship. Celebrate with moon cakes, lantern workshops, painting demonstrations and free entry for children.

Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September
Garden open 9.30am - 5pm
