Ideally, there should be a sign at Zaaffran’s entrance, stating “Please leave your preconceptions of Indian food here”.

That should prepare you for the sublime, rare and yet essentially Indian experience which awaits you inside. Head Chef Vikrant Kapoor, formerly of the celebrated Raffles Hotel, Singapore, just doesn’t think conventional. And neither would you, once you have tasted any of his innovative yet authentic creations. The food will drag your attention from the magical harbour views.
