Getting to, from and around Darling Harbour is easy.
Arrive by train, bus, Sydney Monorail, Metro Light Rail or walk down from Sydney's CBD. For a great excuse to enjoy the harbour, enter by water taxi, ferry, harbour cruise or jet boat.
There are also a number of parking stations available throughout the precinct.
And once you’ve arrived, Darling Harbour’s own People Mover trains transport you easily around the site.
By Car
There are a number of secure, conveniently located parking stations throughout Darling Harbour. There are also special facilities for coach parking with convenient set down and collection areas made available.

Pedestrian Access
Darling Harbour is an easy ten-minute stroll from Sydney's CBD, Pyrmont and Haymarket. Convenient entrances to Darling Harbour’s pedestrian bridges are located from Market, Druitt, Bathurst and Liverpool Streets in the city and Union Street in Pyrmont.
There is also a dedicated pedestrian access ramp from the Haymarket to the Powerhouse Museum and one from the Goldsborough Apartments to Darling Harbour from Pyrmont Street in Ultimo.
By Train and Bus
Major Sydney public transport networks of CityRail and STA Buses connect with pedestrian access. For example, taking the train to Sydney’s Town Hall means you can get to the pedestrian bridge from either Market or Druitt Streets in the city.

Sydney Monorail and Metro Light Rail Transport
You can also travel to Darling Harbour by Sydney Monorail or Metro Light Rail, two unique transport systems connecting passengers to Darling Harbour from the city and inner Western suburbs.
Darling Park Station for access to Sydney Aquarium, Cockle Bay Wharf and King Street Wharf.
Harbourside Station is convenient for Harbourside and Australian National Maritime Museum.
Convention Centre Station is located behind Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Paddy's Market Station is the best option for Tumbalong Park and Powerhouse Museum
Pyrmont Bay and Star City stations connect to the Metro Light Rail complete the comprehensive transport services being provided by the Monorail and Light Rail, to and from Darling Harbour every day.
Hours of operation and ticket prices

Sydney Monorail is open Monday to Thursday from 7am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday 7am to midnight and Sunday from 8am to 10pm.

By Water…
If you prefer to arrive at Darling Harbour by water, there are regular Sydney Ferries from Circular Quay to the Sydney Aquarium and Maritime Museum wharves or the convenience of a range of Water Taxi services.
Harbour cruising and jet boats drop you off at King Street and Cockle Bay Wharves and Matilda Cruises have links from Darling Harbour Aquarium Steps, Darling Harbour Harbourside Shops, Circular Quay, Beulah St Kirribilli and Luna Park. There are even facilities at Darling Harbour’s Marina for those wishing to sail right into the Bay.

People Mover Trains
There is also the convenience of Darling Harbour’s People Mover trains. This fun yet affordably priced mode of transport ($4.50 per adult and $3.50 per child) moves you from one end of Darling Harbour to the other via a regular service, operating from 10am to 5pm (6pm in summer) daily.
People mover trains travel to all major attractions with a maximum of 5 trains operating at once. They’re ideal for young and old alike. You can take a scenic tour or simply catch one to get from “A to B”. In addition People Mover trains can service any function, corporate event, dinner, or cruise within Darling Harbour by prior arrangement.
